Polranny Pirates zei

Uit het korte verhaal: Stormy Weather:
'To the south was The Sound with the bridge connecting the mainland on the east with Achill Island to the west. All around her rising from sea level were mountains. It was as if she was in the middle of a giant soup plate. This was her Ireland: confining in its intimacy and intimidating in its uncompromising ruggedness.
She looked south down The Sound. Above it clouds were rushing north straight at her. She saw how the mountains made a funnel through which the stormy weather was pressed.'
