Wintery Folly

The columns on the roof on the Folly, which is located next to the house in Polranny, represent the latest development in building madness.

Impressive colmuns easy to make. Get half a dozen little buckets from the Archway Store in Castlebar. Tape a bit of piping in the middle of the bottom of each bucket. Mix some concrete cement the same way you make a fruit cake mix (any amount that a lady can handle without having her insides drop out). Add some colour. Pour the mixture in the buckets. Let it settle. Make as many as you'll think it will take to build an artistic column. Put the bucket shaped concrete cakes on top of one another with some cement in between. Stick a few iron bars through the hole left by the piping. Pour a bit of concrete cement mix through the hole. Leave it to settle and BINGO! (Copyright Carolien Feldbrugge)

Love the recipe. I'll be giving it a go soon.
