When Jane and Al moved to Ireland, Jane's mum Bridget welcomed them with a 'typically Irish' meal consisting of the Holy Trinity of spuds, cabbage and bacon. Bridget grew the veggies herself. However, though succulent and tasty, the pig was not a local resident.

In Tonragee worden varkens nog steeds als huisdier gehouden. Er is er weer een die in een mooi varkenskot aan de weg woont.
